Measure twice.
Model once.
Chassis scans, CAD iterations, steering arcs, packaging checks.
Micro scale. Full commitment.
A ground-up 1/43 RC drift platform—reworking a 4WD chassis into a purpose-built 2WD machine with sharper steering, cleaner geometry, and zero wasted space.
Most micro RC cars are built to fit.
This one is built to drift.
DZR–01 starts with a simple question: what happens when 1/43 scale gets the same attention to steering geometry, weight placement, and adjustability as a full-size drift chassis?
The first experiment converts an existing 4WD platform to rear drive, then rebuilds the front end around real counter-steer and tunable linkages.
Remove front drive resistance and give the steering system room to work.
Purpose-built knuckles and links for usable lock—not just a visual pose.
Adjustable toe, track width, and steering response in a palm-sized package.
The finished part matters. So does every wrong turn it takes to get there. DZHOBBIES documents the design, prototyping, testing, and tuning—without skipping the messy middle.
Chassis scans, CAD iterations, steering arcs, packaging checks.
Fast physical prototypes reveal what the screen never will.
Real surface testing, honest results, measurable revisions.

Follow DZR–01 from teardown to first clean lap.
Measure the donor platform, document constraints, and set the geometry targets.
Free up the front end and establish the core rear-drive layout.
Prototype high-angle knuckles, tie rods, and servo placement.
Tune weight, grip, steering response, and final part tolerances.
